Craig, an engineer and personal performance
coach, developed Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT),
the core of which he learned as a student of Dr.
Roger Callahan, a psychologist who devised
Thought Field Therapy. He recognized that the
quality of his thoughts was mirrored in the
quality of his life.
EFT and Emotional Stress Release (originating
from Kinesiology) is based on the natural flow
of energy within our bodies. It is similar to
Chinese acupuncture in that it allows the body
to heal itself naturally, but no needles are
used. Instead, a series of meridian points
are either gently tapped or held in a specific
order. These techniques help to clear stressful
emotions and allow for a positive shift in
perspective, which helps restore the body to its
naturally balanced emotional state. It can often
provide relief for a very wide range of physical
symptoms which may be associated with emotional
stress.
