Healing is an
ancient practice that has been used for
thousands of years and is sometimes referred to
as the laying on of hands. It aims to promote
better health and general well-being by channelling energy through the
healer to the patient. Healers may put their
hands near patients or sometimes on them. Some
healers also work at a distance or through
prayer, although there is no need for patients
