Acupuncture is a system of medicine, originating from China, which treats both the underlying cause and the symptoms of any health problem. Lifestyle, diet, sleep pattern, emotional disposition etc. are also considered. A first appointment last just over an hour. A detailed case history is taken and the first treatment is given. Follow-up appointments, usually at weekly intervals, take 40 minutes. As a trained counsellor (BACP accredited), I am well qualified to provide an integrated approach to both physical and non-physical aspects of health issues.
