I am a Chartered
Physiotherapist with more than twenty years experience and an interest
in chronic pain management. I have completed a professional training in
Craniosacral therapy and an MA in Buddhist Psychotherapy Practice .
Craniosacral Therapy is based
around the subtle pulsation of fluids that surround the brain and
nervous system. This motion is considered to be an expression of the
basic life power flowing in the tissues of the body. Practitioners
believe that restrictions in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid reflect
physical, emotional or psychological tensions in the body. The aim of
treatment is to encourage the body’s own healing process.
Buddhist Psychotherapy is a
contemporary response to human suffering. This empathic, respectful
approach offers support at times of difficulty and space for
exploration. Bringing awareness to our inner experience offers the
potential for choice and healing.
Both Craniosacral Therapy and
Buddhist Psychotherapy are based upon respect , compassion, deep
listening and responding. I am registered with the Health Professions
Council and the Craniosacral Therapy Association UK , working towards
UKCP accreditation. |
